Yesterday : Per EKLUND / Dave WITTOCK - RAC Rally 1982
This car was built by Toyota team Europe in July 82 under the number TC06. His first World Championship outing was at the RAC 1982. With number 14 on the doors, Per EKLUND took him to 9th place, two positions behind the other Celica driven by Bjorn WALDEGARD. This will be the third and last appearance in the World Championship of the Celica in its RA63 version.
After the RAC, the car has been rented for the 1983 season by Toyota Germany, which will enter the German championship still in its Gr 4 version.
In 1984, the body was transformed into GT Turbo Gr B by the factory and served as a recce car for Per EKLUND for African rallies. It will end its career in Africa where it will participate in a few rallies in her GR B livery with her Gr 4 mechanics, and 2 wheel drive.
Benoit Galle completely restored the car back to its original version of the 1982 RAC.
